Design process

A visual story by Brenda Rodriguez
Performed by Fernanda Calderon

Self was executed with the intention of  seeing how the textile moved freely with the body. When the project was concluded the images greatly influenced the collections silhouettes as well as the digital prints.

Acrylic stroke on paper; initial print design.

Testing layered strips of polyamide fabric, creating both distortion and 3D-like geometric shapes.

The color story is a merge of hues found in both personal photographs and traditional Mexican textiles from the state of Chiapas, Mexico (specifically from Magdalenas and Venustiano Carranza).
